The Stanford-Binet test is a examination meant to gauge intelligence through five factors of cognitive ability. These five factors include fluid reasoning, knowledge, quantitative reasoning, visual-spatial processing and working memory. Both verbal and nonverbal responses are measured. Each of the five factors is given a weight and the combined score is often reduced to a ratio known commonly as the intelligence quotient, or IQ.
The Stanford-Binet Test traces its roots to the Binet-Simon Scale, French device for identifying levels of intelligence. The Binet-Simon Scale was developed by Alfred Binet and his student Theodore Simon. French education laws were in flux at the time and Binet was approached by a governmental commission. The commission wanted a device to detect children that possessed notably below-average levels of intelligence for their age.

Consider a solution that offers a single, integrated platform of applications. Many organizations have a legacy business intelligence ecosystem featuring multiple solutions for reporting, discovery, analysis, and other functions. Working with all those solutions can be expensive and require extensive technical knowledge. Multiple solutions can also create compatibility issues.

Interestingly, at about the same time as Humphrey's original proposal, Lev Vygotsky's (1978) general theory of culture first appeared in English translation. Vygotsky also emphasized the social dimension of intelligence, but he focused on cooperative things such as culture, collaboration, communication and teaching, and he was concerned more with ontogeny than with phylogeny. Vygotsky argued and presented evidence that the cognitive skills of human children are shaped by, or in some cases even created by, their interactions with others in the culture or with the artefacts and symbols that others have created for communal use. In all, it is difficult to find reference in any of Vygotsky's work to competition; the stress is almost exclusively on the crucial role of cooperative social interactions in the development of cognitive skills.
However, our claim goes further. Our Vygotskian intelligence hypothesis is that participation in interactions involving shared intentionality transforms human cognition in fundamental ways. First and most fundamentally, it creates the notion of perspective. Thus, consider how infants might come to understand that another person might see the same situation as they do, but from a different perspective. Just following someone else's gaze direction to another location is not enough. A difference in perspective can occur only when two people see the same thing, but differently (Perner et al. 2003). And so we would argue that young infants can come to appreciate that others see the same thing as they do, but from a different perspective only in situations in which they first appreciate the sharedness of attention, the joint attention on a single thing and then note differences (see also Barresi & Moore 1996).
The timeliness and breadth of online information help security and brand management teams avoid information gaps and respond in real-time or near real-time to risk. A 2021 Forrester survey found that 82% of enterprise risk professionals believe real-time information is more crucial than ever. Web monitoring enables organizations to access accurate risk information that may be unavailable or slower on other sources.
Information from social media and darknet sources is increasingly important to observe for threat intelligence purposes. This type of data is very useful for discovering patterns and trends related to human behavior and our interaction with technology. It is also crucial for staying on top of any information leaked by employees or associates that could end up in the wrong hands.
In the past, executive protection (EP) services mostly consisted of muscle, quick hands, and sharp eyes between the client and a threat. These days the strategies needed can be likened more to a game of chess than a game of rugby. Not only are executive protection services becoming more intelligence-driven, but also more internet-based.
Traditional internet search engines like Google provide access to a wealth of potentially useful information and deliver alerts for threat intelligence. However, Google accesses only surface web data, so the results are limited.
Location-based tools like Echosec provide executive protection services teams with real-time actionable intelligence and around-the-clock monitoring, enhancing their ability to detect and monitor potential threats to their clients and assets to a much greater extent than ever before. The range and scope of its search capabilities combine raw data from multiple sources with geographic data to ensure that the content is relevant to a specific geographical location or route.
A multinational online retailer partnered with Echosec to monitor executive risks and event locations. Their security team saved and filtered searches within the Platform to find content indicating violent sentiment towards executive names. The organization was alerted to a CEO-targeted death threat posted on Twitter:
Executive security teams are better able to detect and de-escalate risks on both fronts with access to relevant data from social media networks and unindexed areas of the web. This information provides on-the-ground situational awareness wherever VIPs are located, as well as executive-targeted cyber attacks and other online threats.
