To test the ladder functionality: > A new folder has been created to support players testing offline content. Players will now be able to test classes from previous versions of Diablo II: Resurrected by importing those character files into this folder. > You will use your 'Achivements' to access the ladder modes. If you are playing a custom class or potion this is to ensure they will be available for usage in the ladder modes. Ranked progress will not be saved or shared across classes should you unlock achievements for another class. > Players will also have the ability to unlock support for offline (D2LR) content. More information about this coming in an upcoming PTR Patch. > Ladder start date will be March 6 (first PTR build 2.4 PvP), with a maximum of 16 ladder runs. Ladder runs are available on a first come, first served basis. > No restrictions on how the ladder runs are played (PVP only, PVE, PvP, etc. just through versus games). > Ladder runs will be available for ladder ranking for up to 28 days after the ladder start. Personnel can change ladders and play modes up to 3 times per day. After that, the ladder will be in null state until the ladders start again. > Ladder mode start will be March 13
A new Public Test Realm (PTR) is currently being tested on the PTR server. This is an opportunity for players to help directly test Diablo III. To join the PTR and participate in the online multiplayer portion of the PTR, you'll need to sign-up for the Diablo III Public Test Realm at https://beta.diablo3.com .
In addition to the above functionality, the PTR will also test many of the other features that will be introduced in patch 2.4 such as our major new Champion System, multi-region players being able to play together, our new loot rewards system, and more. We hope you're as excited to play on the PTR as we are. Your participation is hugely valuable to us. d2c66b5586
