The Addams Family Reunion featured the first meeting between the Addamses and the Poppin family, but also the meeting that produced the Poser and the Palomino family. The plot revolves around the Poser family moving in next door to the Addams Family, and their interactions with the family members. Also featured were the first appearance of Inez, Morticia's new granddaughter, and the actions of the clan's infamous teenage son, Pugsley.

Morticia was last seen sixteen years prior to the story (1972) when she was a member of a conservative religious cult and was placed in a convent, refusing to be entered in marriage. The cult is composed by 8 men and 11 women underground in the Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary. Head of the cult is a man named Joseph who is obsessed with her and is willing to do anything in order to see her again. He thus decides to seduce Morticia in order to lower her guard and thus be able to enter the Convent. Morticia eventually wakes in her old bedroom, the convent contains artifacts from the past 16 years and Morticia spends her time continuing her pranks, believing that she is back home. She decides to take revenge on Joseph, who is on the island when she gets there.

Morticia go through flashbacks of events in her life: her mother asking her about a guy she liked, Morticia saying she had pretended to like the guy, and her mother's marriage to a guy who Morticia considers her dad.

Meanwhile, the cult leaders arrive on the island to go to Alcatraz and they get into a canoe to go there. At Alcatraz, Joseph kills the two leaders (the boat with the two leaders leaves Alcatraz soas go to the mainland) but the leaders have a plan and a bomb is placed on shore. Joseph is killed by the explosion and thus the rest of the cultists are arrested.

There is a long-lost Addams family buried in Norway who occur in stories of a spaceship crash that one day de-activates the remaining members of the family. The New Addams Family operates like the original cartoon, with a cursed Astro See-More inherited by their son. d2c66b5586
